Gator Detachment 990 of the Marine Corps League and United States Marine Corps Reserve Toys For Tots Program have served the children of Alachua county during Christmas time for over 10 years. Thousands of children have benefited not only from the hard work and tradition of service of our Detachment and Corps, but most of all through the outstanding esprit de corps of the people, businesses, and various groups in Alachua County that dedicate themselves to the cause.

If you are one of the many businesses, donors, or volunteers in Alachua County that support the Toys for Tots program we wish to make special note of all of your efforts and for the difference you make each year at Christmas time for children in our County. It is through your contributions and generosity that we achieve our mission each year in ensuring every child has a Christmas.

The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted
Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) not-for-profit public charity is the fund raising, funding and support organization for the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. The Foundation was created at the behest of the U. S. Marine Corps and provides support in accordance with a Memorandum of Understanding with the Commander, Marine Forces Reserve, who directs the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. The Foundation has supported Toys for Tots since 1991.
